Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about LVEP membership, including what’s changing, what’s included and what happens next. Whether you currently have a website listing or are exploring membership for the first time, this page explains how the new model works and what it means for your business. From online visibility and marketing opportunities to renewals and membership levels, we’ve brought together the key information in one place to help make the transition clear and straightforward. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, our team is always happy to help.
Why are website listings changing to membership?
As Visit East of England and the Suffolk & Norfolk LVEP has grown, our support for businesses now goes far beyond website listings alone.
Membership brings together visitor visibility, destination marketing, PR, campaigns, industry communications, events, travel trade activity and business support into one clearer offer. It means businesses benefit not only from being listed online, but from being part of the wider promotion and development of tourism across the region.
Will my business still appear on your websites?
Yes. Both Core and Enhanced membership include a business listing on Visit East of England and either Visit Norfolk or Visit Suffolk.
Your online visibility remains an important part of membership, and existing listed businesses will continue to have a presence as part of the transition.
What happens when my current listing renews?
When your current listing comes up for renewal, we’ll contact you with details of the membership options available to your business.
You’ll receive clear information about pricing, benefits and what’s included before making any decisions. Nothing will change automatically, and no action is needed until we contact you.
Do I need to move to Enhanced membership?
No. Enhanced membership is entirely optional.
Core membership is designed to give businesses strong online visibility alongside access to wider LVEP communications and opportunities. Enhanced membership is for businesses looking for additional promotion, exposure and included benefits.
You can choose the level that best suits your business goals.
Can I still have just a website listing?
Website listings are now included within LVEP membership rather than offered separately.
This helps create a more consistent approach across the region and ensures all participating businesses benefit from wider destination marketing and industry support, not just directory visibility.
What does membership actually include?
Membership combines digital visibility with wider business support and destination promotion.
Depending on your membership level, benefits may include:
- Business listings across consumer websites
- Opportunities for PR, blogs, campaigns and features
- Access to awards, events and industry updates
- Travel trade and destination representation
- Social media exposure and marketing opportunities
- Access to the Member Hub and business resources
Why has the pricing structure changed?
The new structure reflects the wider range of activity now delivered through the LVEP, beyond website listings alone.
Membership supports ongoing destination marketing, content creation, business engagement, PR activity and industry development across Norfolk and Suffolk, while continuing to provide strong online visibility for members.
How will membership help my business reach more visitors?
Membership gives your business visibility across multiple visitor touchpoints, not just a directory page.
Alongside your listing, businesses may benefit from campaign inclusion, blog features, PR opportunities, social media exposure, visitor newsletters and destination-wide marketing activity designed to inspire more people to visit the region.
Who can I speak to if I have questions?
Our Business Development team will be happy to help.
You can contact us via the membership team on the industry website or email us directly to discuss your options and find the membership level that best fits your business.
