How to add an offer to your listing

Add an offer

Showcase your offer to potential visitors

Have a special offer, seasonal promotion or exclusive experience to share? Adding it through your DestinationCore member portal helps visitors discover what your business offers and gives them another reason to book or visit.

Follow this guide to submit your offer, provide the essential information and make it easy for visitors to understand what's included.

960 640 Bury St Edmunds Angel Hill 1

Before you start

Have the following information ready:

  • Offer title and description
  • Details of what's included and the price
  • Any relevant terms and conditions
  • Start and end dates for the offer
  • A suitable image

1. General

This section contains the main information about your offer.

Offer title

Choose a clear, descriptive title that explains what you're offering.

For example:

  • Two-Night Coastal Escape
  • Midweek Bed and Breakfast Special
  • Complimentary Afternoon Tea with Your Stay
  • Seasonal Dining Offer

Avoid vague titles such as "Special Offer". Be specific about what visitors can expect.

Featured offer

This option determines whether your offer may appear in featured components across the website. Selecting it doesn't necessarily guarantee featured placement.

Entry preview text

Write a short introduction that summarises your offer. This text appears on cards throughout the website and is also used within the SEO description field.

For example: Enjoy a two-night coastal break in Suffolk, including breakfast each morning and a complimentary afternoon tea.

Offer description

Explain what's included in your offer and why it's worth taking advantage of.

Include relevant details such as:

  • What's included in the offer
  • The price or saving available
  • Who the offer is suitable for
  • Any additional benefits or experiences
  • Any important booking requirements

Keep the description clear and informative, focusing on the value or experience you're offering.

Offer redemption link

Add a direct link to the relevant offer or booking page on your website, where applicable.

Offer redemption code

If visitors need to enter a promotional code to redeem the offer, add it here. If no code is required, leave this field blank.

Terms and conditions

Include any relevant restrictions or conditions, such as minimum stays, excluded dates, advance booking requirements or availability restrictions.

Make sure visitors can easily understand what's included and whether any conditions apply.

Example terms and conditions

This offer is valid from [start date] to [end date], subject to availability.

  • Advance booking is [required / not required].
  • The offer applies to [specify eligible products, services, stays or experiences].
  • The offer is valid on [specify eligible dates or days] and excludes [any excluded dates or periods].
  • The offer is available to [specify who can use the offer, if applicable].
  • The offer [can / cannot] be used in conjunction with other offers or discounts.
  • Additional charges may apply for [specify any extras or supplements].
  • Bookings must be made through [booking method or link] using the code [offer code, if applicable].

[Add any other conditions specific to your offer.]

Please check the full offer details before booking.

Important: Only include conditions that apply to your offer. Remove any statements that aren't relevant and make sure all dates, restrictions, prices and booking requirements are accurate. If your offer has specific cancellation, refund or payment conditions, explain these clearly and ensure they are consistent with your published booking terms.

Site tags

You don't need to add site tags when submitting your offer. The Visit East of England team manages these during the review process.

2. Dates

Use the Dates section to enter the relevant dates for your offer.

Make sure the dates accurately reflect when the offer is available. If it applies only to certain booking periods, days of the week or seasons, explain this clearly in your description or terms and conditions.

Check the dates carefully before submitting to avoid confusion for visitors.

3. Media

Use the Media section to select or upload your main offer image.

Choose a clear, high-quality image that represents the experience, accommodation, food or activity included in your offer.

Where possible, use an image that accurately reflects what visitors will receive. Make sure you have permission to use it and follow the relevant image requirements.

What happens next?

Once you've submitted your offer, the LVEP team will review it and manage the remaining information required for publication, including the relevant categories and site tags.

If any changes or additional information are needed, the team may contact you.

  • The redemption link and code are correct, where applicable.
